About Us
We are committed to enhancing education, safeguarding human rights, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and protecting natural resources in the communities we serve. Our mission also includes addressing gender-based violence and improving public health, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to thrive in a safe and supportive environment
Established in 2010, Development Path for Community Transformation (DEPCOT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable populations. Founded by a passionate group of individuals, DEPCOT's mission centers on advocating for the underserved, with a strong emphasis on providing quality education services, safeguarding human rights, and offering sustainable livelihood opportunities in the face of economic challenges. The organization also places a high priority on environmental stewardship and the provision of essential public health services. Recognizing the importance of financial sustainability, DEPCOT has developed an enterprise division. This initiative not only supports the organization's operational needs but also creates job opportunities for youth, equipping them with valuable skills that foster prosperous lives.
Over the past decade, DEPCOT has partnered with several organizations to fund its initiatives and expand its impact. Key collaborators include Grassroots Nest for Innovations and Change (GRIC) in conjunction with the Foundation for Inclusive Community Help (FICH), ENVenture, Global Land Care Inc., Uganda Green Enterprise Finance Accelerator (UGEFA), Plan International Uganda, the GIZ-ECOS project, Solar Fire Concentration Oy, USAID Score funding through AVSI Foundation, IFDC, and the African Women Development Fund. Through these partnerships and its commitment efforts, DEPCOT has made significant strides in community transformation, working tirelessly to uplift marginalized groups and promote sustainable development practices in the regions it serves.
